We loved our short stay

Pros: The hotel is truly wonderful. The staff are very kind and extremely attentive. We regret not staying longer, we definitely should have spent more time at this hotel. We also really appreciated how family-oriented the hotel is. The children loved the playroom, and the spa was excellent as well.

Cons: The restaurant options are limited, and the menus are as well. We expected to find more variety. The main restaurant where we had dinner ended up offering many of the same dishes that appeared in the other outlets, which felt more like snack options than full meals. Although the food itself was good, it did not always feel like a proper dining experience, more like light bites. Overall, we believe there should be more menu variety and more substantial meal options.

Outstanding and special 20th anniversary celebration at Hazendal, all the staff were impeccable, especially Henriette.

Pros: Beautiful accommodation, delicious wine, tasty food and exceptional service.

Cons: A little too close to the suburbs

This is an exceptional place and we will definitely visit again.

Pros: Everything We stayed here for 9 nights after I had surgery to my shoulder and they took fantastic care of me. The room is beautiful , the gardens are gorgeous, the menu and food superb and the personnel exceptional.

Cons: Instagrammers (as day visitors) visiting the public areas making it uncomfortable for families and normal people wanting to enjoy this beautiful place.

Great kid friendly place.

Pros: So many great facilities especially for kids. Staff were amazing. Went above and beyond to make my son’s bday special.

An unforgettable birthday at Hazendal

Pros: ​I cannot recommend Hazendal Hotel and Spa enough! The entire property is exceptionally well-decorated and thought out, featuring beautiful art pieces at every turn. I particularly loved the reading room; the curated choice of books made it such a peaceful retreat. ​The service was truly exceptional. I was so heartwarming that every staff member we encountered knew it was my birthday and offered their well-wishes; it made the stay feel incredibly personal. We had a spa treatment which was wonderful and highly relaxing and a perfect way to end our stay at Hazendal. ​A huge thank you to the entire team for making my birthday so special. We can’t wait to return!

Comfortable and relaxing stay with super friendly staff.

Pros: The facilities for kids was amazing, but other facilities were still under renovation.

Cons: It is a bit of a distance from the airport but other than that I cannot complain.

Absolute Best place to stay in Cape Town

Pros: This property cannot be beaten when it comes to its amenities, service, staff and beautiful grounds. As a frequent traveller I can say this is one of the best properties I have stayed at. The staff’s attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile really make it feel like a home away from home. It’s amazing that they manage to provide the best service in all their offerings from food to the spa everything was excellent!

Cons: Nothing.

Amazing rooms, helpful staff, food was great. A good option if you have kids as there is a lovely garden and pool.

Pros: Beautiful hotel, modern, lovely gardens and great wines.

Cons: It is more expensive than certain wine estate but well worth it.

An excellent hotel and experience

Pros: Perfectly located, excellent amenities and superb staff. From the welcome on arrival to farewell on departure it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience

Pros: It was our Wedding night and the staff dressed up the room very Romantic,the champagne and little chocolate threats was very thoughtfull of them.The welcoming and the treatment from the Reception staff was Very professional.We will Definitely come back and do a Summer Holiday.Also the staff at the Restaurant, very professional and friendly...We had an all round lovely Experience...
