Overall a WONDERFUL stay!

Pros: It was peaceful and private. Lovely stoep with great braai area.

Cons: The floors and surfaces in the kitchen were peeling a bit. The bathroom shelf made the basin a bit difficult to use. The stove was a bit old. Everything else was very good.

Lovely spot on the outskirts of Franschhoek.

Pros: Great to open the french doors of the bedroom looking out on to the farm and watch the cows wandering by, great view.

Amazing

Pros: We loved staying at the Olive Tree. Even though its on a farm, the air is fresh. Beautiful well cared for animals. The scenery is breathtaking. If peace and beauty is what you looking for this is you place.

Simple cottage located in amazing location.

Pros: Amazing location, surrounded by nature and mountain views. Only 10 mins by car from Franschhoek city center, so close to stores but far enough to feel completely relaxed. 400 meters from an enclosure with 2 zebras and wildebeest, which was nice to walk by. Beds were very comfortable, and the cottage was simple but had most things you would need for a short stay.

Cons: The place itself was clean, but it could use some small attention (e.g., the master bedroom had a mold spot on the ceiling, the sheets had (dry) stains on them but smelled fresh, and the master bedroom door didn't close when it rained, so the machine in the hallway kept waking us up at night).

We had a great time other than the above.

Pros: Nice and quiet. Very relaxed environment. Short drive to the town for supplies.

Cons: The pillows were so soft, we hardly slept at all. Kept waking up every hour with a stiff neck. The Dstv decoder wasn’t working as the outside dish was rusted and had broken loose from the wall.

Eventful stay

Pros: Olive Cottage is well-equipped with all the comforts of home. Appreciate the hostess offering us one night for free following the flood damage which meant we couldn't leave Franschhoek.
