La Ferme Guest Farm - Hot Tubs

Nice, simple cottage in the nature for families to enjoy their time in Franschoek.

Pros: We loved the veranda to have meals in the morning and evening as well as the braai. The setting is also very nice and peacful. We also appreciated that the owners were very communicative and got us settled in well.

Cons: The cottage is well equipped but also fairly simple and although that’s fine, at this price point I think we’ve visited other places in South Africa that offered more value for money. The cottage as well as the public spaces (pool/playground) need some updates and proper curtains in the bedrooms are a must for me.

Great for a weekend away

Pros: The property is in a serene location (with only some local baboon noises disturbing the peace). The staff were super friendly and catered to our needs. The cottage was comfortable and clean and had all the amenities. The hot tub provided an additional level of relaxation.

Cons: To access the property there are a number of gates, which is great for security. However it makes it difficult to get picked up/dropped off by taxis. This can limit ability for wine drinking/tastings.

La Heaven near Franschhoek

Pros: This is a very sweet self-catering property in a beautiful location just outside Franshhoek. Convenient to everything, The hot tubs were wonderful in the evenings for sipping wine and star-gazing. There is a nice small pool to cool off in and standing in the river for sundowners is very special. The staff on property are helpful and very pleasant. Hosts Tim and Nadine were welcoming and helpful but not overbearing. We really enjoyed our week long stay at La Ferme.

Cons: There was nothing we did not like about La Ferme. The self-catering kitchen could be a little better equipped, there is only a small refrigerator, toaster oven and hot plate. The furnishings were adequate yet random. We enjoyed the covered terrace and hot tub but there is little privacy from a nearby cottage. Any maintenance issues we had were addressed immediately.

Stunning entrance and views

Pros: A most stunning farm and surroundings! You will not go wrong staying here. Tim and his team are very welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed the hot tun which was kindly prepared for us to suit our timings. We only wish we had more time here. Great value for money.

Pros: Stunning location, in the countryside, yet only 10 minutes drive from Franschhoek. The cottages are tastefully decorated very comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Great stay would not hesitate in booking again !!

Pros: From opening the door to find Tea,Coffee,sugar etc and fresh milk in the fridge. To discovering the outdoor shower which we used both days and the hot tub if you wanted it at a small charge would be lit for you. We loved our 2 days and would recommend it highly. The bed was super comfortable and a array of pillows to suit Thanks Tim for a great stay 👍

Cons: If your a light sleeper you might struggle with no curtains and the noisy dawn chorus ( which I loved )
