Nestled 8km from the heart of Stellenbosch, the enchanting Slaley Country House offers a picturesque escape, with breathtaking mountain vistas, complimentary Wi-Fi, and private gated parking. Centered in the Simonsberg-Stellenbosch wine ward, the facility is conveniently located between many popular tasting rooms, wedding venues and golf courses. The venue remains a tranquil sanctuary, just a short drive from Stellenbosch's vibrant tourism hub with Cape Town International Airport 30km away. The guesthouse offers an array of amenities to offer our guests ease of stay. We are home to two delightful dogs and two sociable cats, eagerly awaiting the chance to charm our guests. Comfortable and clean and well placed for visiting Stellenbosch.

Pros: Bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was nice and big...but (see below). Good to have the extra walk in cupboard space for clothes and luggage storage. Really beautiful grounds and an extremely nice swimming pool, which I mostly had to myself. Staff were very attentive and and courteous. It was great to have found a hotel so close to where we needed to be. Personally I like to see pets around (as I have them at home myself) so to see a dog and cats moseying around the open space was lovely for me.

Cons: Not sure I liked the open plan bathroom or glass cubicle with the loo inside.....maybe I am just old fashioned! There was plenty of room within the bathroom but not much space to put toiletries etc. The sound of the road was quite significant, happily our room was on the opposite side of the hotel so it was only apparent when we were enjoying the garden or swimming area.

Highlight of our trip !

Pros: Everything ! The room was amazing, so comfortable and spacious. We loved playing tennis and swimming, the animals were so great and friendly too. Including the guinea fowl ! Perfect location for all the wine. Lovely staff and much appreciated complimentary bottle of wine ! Coming back to stay on our way back to the airport next week.

Beautiful comfortable stay.

Pros: Gorgeous huge comfortable bed. Mini bar in fridge. Lovely bathroom and super shower. Good and very generous breakfast. Pretty pool with umbrellas and sun beds Lovely staff.

Cons: We are used to very quiet living so we noticed the proximity to the road. If you are used to some road noise this would not matter.

Kim & her staff really look after you very well. Nothing is too much trouble.

Pros: Location is ideal, just a few miles out of Stellenbosch with many vineyards around. Breakfast was excellent with so many choices.

Pros: This property is absolutely beautiful. Our room was spotless and the bed was incredibly comfy. I can’t emphasise enough how good the breakfast was. We had complete privacy, whilst the host was always on hand if we needed her. Do not hesitate to book this accommodation!

An absolutely gorgeous stay

Pros: We loved the nature, it was peaceful and beautiful nestled at the bottom of the mountains. We could spend all night sitting on the patio soaking in the surroundings. The staff were lovely. You can see they take pride in their work. The room was large and very comfortable. They put in special effort as it was our anniversary weekend. Breakfast was delightful. The location is perfect for hiking and visiting wine estates (5mins away).

Cons: N/A
