Very special place for a special stay

Pros: Very special stay as part of our honeymoon. The estate itself is incredible and so well looked after. The staff are amazing and so helpful.

Pros: A magnificent and truly luxurious estate featuring exceptional art, design, and architecture. The gardens, landscape, and overall setting are masterfully planned and incredibly serene. Service was world-class — warm, personal, and genuinely caring — and the wine-tasting experience was both cosy and elegant. One of the best restaurants in the world (La petite Colombe) is located right within walking distance on the estate.

Cons: Some nearby maintenance work was a bit noisy during the day and could have been scheduled at a different time.

Lovely hotel and grounds

Pros: Fantastic setting. Lovely bedroom and communal areas. Gardens and pool are excellent and the art around the property is great. Wine tasting was good. Dinner at La Petite Colombe was great - but make sure you book.

Cons: Not much to fault other than the dinner we had at the hotel dining room dinner on our other night's stay was not so good. Probably better to go into Franschoek to one of the many excellent restaurants
