Excellent group stay

Pros: It was super clean. The staff were exceptional. Great atmosphere if you travel with friends.

Cons: Our room was small with no aircon and a very small window.

Fantabulous

Pros: We stayed at Trails End in Elgin and were absolutely delighted with our experience. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and just what we needed. The owners were very involved and spent New Year’s Eve with all the guests, which made the evening feel extra special and personal. They even arranged morning hikes, which was such a lovely touch. The pool and games kept everyone entertained, and we really appreciated being given a braai stand with wood so we could enjoy our own braai. Everything was well thought out and added to the fun. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Trails End to anyone looking for a great getaway. We will definitely be going back!

Great for one night stay. Clean and comfortable

Pros: Clean comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Easy going atmosphere.. there is only a communal bathroom but to my surprise very clean and not crowded at all although the hotel was fully booked. The facility and communal areas were comfortable. The pool is a great added benefit. We enjoyed the stay and as family of 4 it was perfect for 1 night..

Cons: The breakfast is very plain and anything additional you have to pay. I must have missed the small print but expected a full breakfast service. The rooms were clean and comfortable but a aircon to cool it down would have been a great added benefit.

Amazing!

Pros: Love the little bike track, rooms were comfortable, the lounge area was great and the bar The staff were helpful and friendly

Cons: The pool was a bit green and smelled but that does happen with pools Our lunch took a very long time to make but it was very good.

Pros: Fantastic and well thought out place that will not only excite the mountain bikers but also trail runners and anyone looking to enjoy some time out in the beautiful countryside of Elgin. The staff are incredible! They remember your name which really stood out for me especially as we were a large group of people. It’s those small things that make you feel at home. Food and coffee was great and the bicycle museum was a really nice surprise and very thorough and interesting.
