Tranquille Haven - serene escape in Franschhoek

Comfortable gem a short distance from main road

Pros: The host was proactive with communication, responded quickly to queries and was there to greet us on arrival and departure. I liked the decor and the comfortable furnishings. The house was spotlessly clean.. There was plenty of coffee pods, tea bags, milk, water and even drinks in the fridge, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Perfect for a couple of nights in Franschhoek and Karin, this host was so welcoming and helpful!

Pros: It was a beautifully done property and perfect for what we needed whilst we were there. A perfect two night stay!

Cons: Walking up hill back to the property from the town centre! But that’s just because we were unfit!

Pros: One of the best equipped apartments I ever had the pleasure of staying at. From the smallest of details, to the most useful items, comforts & treats. Including a bottle of bubbly, beers, snacks, fresh herbs, etc. Absolutely loved the private splash pool! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Pros: The attention to small detail is exceptional. Thoughtful things like some cheese snacks in the fridge and a bottle of wine. Everything you would need in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. The decor is impeccable. A great experience!

Cons: It would be difficult to improve!

Pros: Karin was truly incredible and so thoughtful, one of the most genuine and welcoming hosts we have ever had. Communication was easy from start to finish, and she made us feel completely at home. The apartment is gorgeous, immaculately clean, and extremely comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The thoughtful touches like toiletries, snacks and flowers really made it special. We absolutely loved our stay and were genuinely gutted to leave. 100/10 – highly recommend.

Incredibly special and unique.

Pros: The name of this accommodation could not be more fitting — it truly is a very special place. The cottage is beautifully designed, with unique and thoughtful finishes throughout. The architecture is exceptional, especially the large upstairs window that looks out over the Franschhoek mountains. The cottage is extremely well equipped, from the usual tea and coffee to thoughtful extras like a first-aid kit and a bottle of Tranquille on arrival. Karen is a wonderful host — welcoming us on arrival, helping with restaurant recommendations, and even dropping off medication when we realised we hadn’t packed any. The location is perfect, just a short walk (around 800m) from the main road in Franschhoek, or an easy tuk-tuk ride. I honestly couldn’t fault this stunning cottage and can’t wait to book my next stay.

Very nice place to stay in beautiful Frenschoek
