Whale Rock Luxury Lodge

Superb accommodation and wonderful team

Pros: We loved our stay at Whale Rock Luxury Lodge. Melanie and the team were so accommodating. The lodge was incredibly peaceful, with beautiful rooms, a lovely breakfast, and a team who are always happy to help.

Hermanus is a lovely visit and Whale Rock the perfect location

Pros: Stunning building full of character beautifully maintained. Lovely gardens and pool. Melanie was wonderful ensuring you have everything you need.

Good place to explore Hermanus, our first visit and very enjoyable stay at Whale Rock

Pros: We stayed in the Villa which was very well equipped; an honesty bar / private pool area; comfy lovely lounge inside and a covered one outside including fire places for colder nights - not during our stay though! The pool was ample although didn't actually go in for a dip - plenty of seating and loungers for the number of rooms in the Villa. The breakfast was good, I didn't personally have this but friends who did, said this was good standard and plenty of choice and fresh cooked options available. Easy access to the coastal path into town, plenty of stopping points along the way to enjoy the sea views and the odd whale spout, even in January!

Cons: Nothing in particular save the proximity to the local settlement but didn't give us a problem during our stay.

Ticks the boxes!

Pros: Located at the start of the coastal path and new harbour the Whale Rock is a gem. Large comfortable rooms, hearty home cooked breakfasts, and great staff.

Cons: All was very good as was our first visit last year.

Would definitely return - a real gem.

Pros: Beautiful garden and pool. Lovely helpful staff and excellent accommodation.

Cons: Sat nav takes you to the property via the local township which does not give the best first impression.

We spend two nice days at this lodge

Pros: Very nice and comfortable room in beautiful country style house surrounded by large garden with Lots of old trees. Nice and large swimming pool. Helpfull and dedicated staff. Nearby the beautiful CliffPath starts.

Pros: Accommodation it self, friendly staff, nicely decorated atmosphere of the lobby and rooms. Perfect breakfast

Beautiful stay

Pros: The property manager provided support throughout the booking process of shark cafe diving and whale watching and booking cab for the next day trip clearly explained the details of each property in a friendly and professional manner. Also provided breakfast for us in advance as we had to start the trip from Hermanus to gansbaai early morning on our checkout day.

Pros: The breakfast was superb, service good. Good restaurants close by.

Cons: The position, so close to a township is unfortunate.

Relax Island

Pros: The personal is extreme friendly and kind. Especially Adrian had a lot of good tips and recommendations what to do during our stay
