Family home

Pros: This is a fabulous opportunity to stay in an original Cape style home, furnished with some of the original family furnishings on a working pig farm and vineyard. The staff were great and JD the host cooked a superb brai one evening.

Cons: The restaurant that was advertised as being a few minutes walk was actually only open until 6pm and certain days. and has to be booked by 4pm. So the nearest places were 10min. drive into Stellenbosch. So worth remembering if you're arriving late. but you can request a Brai.

Amazing stay at an authentic wine farm

Pros: Absolutely everything. JD was the best host and knows exactly how to run a great wine farm accommodation.

Cons: I have tried my best to think about this one carefully and I still can't name anything.

Perfect overnight stay.

Pros: Lovely old Cape Dutch house with modern clean bedrooms. The staff were friendly and accommodating and we were served a very nice English breakfast.

Heins visit

Pros: After a sticky start because of a misunderstanding, our host handled everything very well and gave us 5 star treatment, so much so that my grandson would love to go back and stay there longer. The breakfast in the dining room was outstanding.

Cons: They are busy renovating the rooms in the manor house so it felt like it needed some TLC. There are a few small things that need to be looked at.

Pros: Heins Manor House is a wonderful historical building with charming rooms. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and made us feel really comfortable. The wine and the food / breakfast was delicious. It was the perfect stay for our last day in south africa. We will come back for sure!
