Pros: The farm and cottage we stayed in are beautiful, the staff super friendly and helpful. The wine tasting and platters are amazing. All in all a 10/10 experience!

Beautiful place to be and to relax

Pros: Lovely old cottage on this wine estate. Don’t expect mod. cons. but lower yourself into it and it’s delightful. A lot of natural shade on v hot days. Rinaldo is a brilliant support for any help you need. We loved the location and position of the unsupervised swimming pool.

Cons: Kitchen facilities a wee bit basic.

Exceptional accomodation with amazing views

Pros: We had wonderful days in a very picturesque environment. The accommodation is located on a wine estate (Bartinney) offering exceptional views. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. I would particularly like to mention Marc, who was extremely helpful and friendly. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay in the lovely Stellenbosch region.

A great location for the Stellenbosch area

Pros: Very comfortable and well equipped house Great braai area with plenty of wood supplied Complimentary wine tasting from the wonderful terraces with stunning views.

Cons: No views from the house which was a pity. There are stairs from the parking to the cottages so only take a small case.

Lovely accommodation, good location and excellent staff.

Pros: The accommodation was lovely and in a great location for visiting Stellenbosch and vineyards. What really made our stay so good was Marc the manager. From the moment of booking his communication was excellent. Helpful directions, suggestions on things to do, places to visit and great restaurants.

Cons: The pool area could have been more inviting. The pool water was clean but the surface had a lot of leaves and dead flies on it. But hardly surprising as it was surrounded by trees.

Pros: A very beautiful and cool place! Simply with superb views!!! I highly recommend it to everyone))) and what nice people work there))) they surrounded us with care)))

Amazing accommodation with a stunning view and first-class host

Pros: We stayed at Bartinney in 2018 and loved the experience so wanted to share this fabulous accommodation and location with our friends on this trip to South Africa. On this occasion we had the pleasure of being hosted by Marc who was absolutely outstanding in providing a wonderful stay including a wine tasting for the 9 of us at a private location with an amazing view. Nothing was too much trouble, arranging a food platter on very short notice and we were grateful to be able to send our luggage forward from Cape Town to be kept securely by Marc's desk.

Cons: Very little to not like but felt that the kitchen area in Vineyard Cottage was a little below the standard of those in Candlewood and Wild Olive House

Pros: Location great for wine route, Franschoek,Paarl,Cape town all within easy reach. Staff are friendly, loads of space in our accommodation.comfy bed .

Cons: Outside seating area could do with some tlc , although it didn't bother us as we were out most of the time and it was too cold to sit outside
