Rozendal Stay

Beautiful stay located remotely in Stellenbosch but still close to town. Fabulous staff that make your stay special!

Pros: The property was beautiful, well maintained, based on a farm, with traditional feels to it. It felt like a home away from home. Special shoutout to Jodene who made our stay seamless and went above and beyond.

Cons: Nothing.

Quiet stay in well appointed self catering unit.

Pros: Nice quiet location. Very thoughtful basket of goodies on arrival. Small but well appointed kitchen. Friendly receptionist. Good cupboard space. Lovely gardens. Cute alpacas!

Cons: VERY late cleaning rooms. 15:00! Also didn’t clean the bathroom properly. Towels were just left as they were. Bath wasn’t cleaned.

Lovely peaceful location

Pros: Very comfortable, clean and well equipped studios in a peaceful setting outside of Stellenbosh. Lovely pool and outdoor areas to enjoy!

Cons: Would have been good if they has mentioned in the booking confirmation how popular their Good to Gather Restaurant was and it only open on weekends for lunch. Apparently people book 2/3 months in advance so feel we missed out on a treat. However we really enjoyed Lanzerac restaurant within walking distance distance and Post Card Cafe up the road!

Heaven on earth

Pros: Tranquil setting, very beautiful gardens, wonderful shop doing coffee and fresh cooked food .

Pros: Tranquil with close proximity to Stellenbosch and surrounding farms etc.

Peaceful farm stay

Pros: We loved the casual working farm and very peaceful environment, the very friendly staff, the lovely pool area and garden, the spacious and very clean accommodation, and found it to be in a great location to explore the area and Stellenbosch.

Cons: Nothing we disliked. The bed in one of the rooms was a bit small. It would have been nice to have the option to have breakfast onsite.

Highly recommend- a true hidden gem

Beautiful accommodation near town, on a lovely farm with views of the mountains

Pros: Beautiful location on the edge of a quiet neighbourhood, with amazing views of the mountains and town, a gorgeous swimming pool area, and lovely gardens. A comfortable and spacious room with a very comfortable bed and stylish furnishings. The kitchenette is modern and has everything you need, the shower is great. I love the food hamper you get on arrival from the local restaurant (Good to Gather), filled with delicious locally-sourced food. I have stayed at Rozendal a number of times, and I keep coming back as it's so peaceful and beautiful. It ticks all the essential boxes, and is so much better than anywhere else I've stayed in Stellenbosch. Staff are friendly and my rooms have always been spotlessly clean.

Cons: No aircon means rooms can be very hot in Dec-Jan, but fans are provided and make the heat more comfortable. The bathroom's extractor fans are very loud when turned on. It would be nice to be able to open some large windows at night. I didn't feel comfortable leaving the french doors open, and the only other windows are small ones that can open a crack. But these are minor things and I'll still be back in future!

Pros: So friendly and beautiful there. what a great stay for our familiy with 2 small kids. The only regret is that we only booked for 2 nights

Wonderful

Pros: The apartment is very light and pretty, well decorated. Loved the fresh flowers in vases in the rooms. Close to Stellenbosch but surrounded by greenery (we saw many squirrels, birds, etc) There’s a little farm shop with lovely products
