Good stay near to Franschoek wineries

Pros: Lots of vintage details in interior, comfortable room, good breakfast, friendly staff, peacocks

Cons: No dinner options and nearest was 15 minutes ride, some renovation needed

Pros: The staff were super friendly. The lodge is well positioned close to surrounding wine farms. I enjoyed the breakfast in the old style dinning hall. The AC was a life saver! Comfy bed and pillows.

Cons: It might be a bit too rustic/old school for some.

The definition of value for money

Pros: My family and I (in-laws and husband) loved absolutely everything about Simondium's Country Lodge. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the lodge itself is gorgeous, the rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the food was INCREDIBLE, the pool was clean and warm and the location was central to everything we wanted to do in Franshoek. Simondium's Country Lodge is the definition of value for money and we cannot wait to book again.

Cons: Nothing! Our stay was close to perfect.

Over all we had a very pleasant experience

Pros: Friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was delicious. Very tranquil. Loved the animal life and the old world charm reminded me of home. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to explore the whole property as our stay was very brief.

Pros: Hanneke, the manageress was amazing. Totally on it - looking after our every need. We were welcomed with wine and ice. The breakfast she packed for us was enough to feed us for the entire day. The restaurant she recommended was sublime. The air conditioner kept us cool on a very hot day. We will definitely be back.
