Lovely stay in Paarl

Pros: Beautiful grounds. Nice restaurants on te grounds. Beautiful an spacious room with Vineyards view. Comfortable bed and the best shower we had during our trip. Friendly and accommodating staff. Tasty breakfast and nice wines.

Breathtaking, perfect relaxation

Pros: Laborie massively exceeded our expectations. It is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The pictures really don't do it justice, the pool area is new and totally beautiful, with two lovely pools and mountain views. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is divine and the whole place is just perfection. We ate in both restaurants and food was great. The staff were so lovely, our every need was catered to.

Cons: We wish we had stayed for longer!

Beautiful wine estate.

Pros: We loved Laborie estate, but they where understaffed at the restaurant Stoep. it took aprox 1,30 to get the food the two evings we had dinner buy the playground.

A luxurious and memorable stay with excellent amenities, dining, and experiences throughout.

Pros: A beautiful historic property that exudes understated luxury. The rooms are well maintained, the bed is exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom was more spacious than expected. The swimming pool is stunning, breakfast was enjoyable, and there are plenty of engaging activities to experience around the farm. There are also multiple on-site restaurants serving excellent food at very reasonable prices.

Cons: There was absolutely nothing to dislike about our stay.

Relaxing stay in great accommodation

Pros: Absolutely loved the wine estate. Rooms were incredibly large with the best facilities. Looking forward to our next stay when the Spa will be built and this will add another dimension.

Cons: Lack of managerial presence. It would have been lovely if a senior member of staff checked-in on the guests occasionally to make them feel valued.

Luxury accommodation on a picturesque wine estate.

Pros: Spacious bedroom suite with stunning views of the vineyards from the balcony. Excellent breakfast options. Two pools enabled guests to swim or lounge in the water as they preferred.

Cons: A little above the price for similar properties in the area.

Not as nice as last year.

Pros: We had understood from media reports that only Giovanni’s Restaurant had burnt down, whereas the fire had also destroyed the accommodation block containing the rooms we had booked. We were therefore upgraded to a suite, which was nice and the room was really large and comfortable.

Cons: The breakfast buffet was not great, all the hot food was cold. Both days of our visit. The swimming pool and area is far too small with insufficient sun beds and umbrellas. We had the impression that the facilities were a bit overcrowded after the fire.

Quiet and comfortable

Pros: Accommodation was outstanding. Amazingly comfortable bed and the sound proofing of the room made for an excellent night’s sleep.

Cons: There had been a fire in December which had destroyed some of the property including one of the restaurants. We were not advised about this at the time of booking or on arrival. We only discovered this when googling the venue.
