Orange-Ville was an excellent choice for convenience and comfort

Pros: I was attending a wedding in the valley and Orange-Ville Lodge was in an excellent location a few minutes from the venue. It is also within easy driving distance of both Franschoek and Stellenbosh. The lodge is set in a large, attractive garden. My room was very peaceful and overlooked the garden. The owners, Hardy and Steffi, are delightful and very attentive. The breakfast was delicious.

Cons: The room had too many gadgets and remotes for my liking (I think there were seven) which controlled the lights, ceiling fan, wifi, air-con, TV, bedside lights and even the curtains. I prefer to be able to turn things like the bedside lights and ceiling fan on and off using a simple switch, and to pull back the curtains manually. All the remotes and gadgets add uneccessary clutter to the room and detract from its attractiveness.

Highly recommended!!

Pros: The breakfast was absolutely excellent. The owners Steffi and Hardy were extremely friendly and eager to please. The accommodation was well positioned and very peaceful surrounded by huge trees and mountains. Two beautiful swimming pools with well laid out and colouful gardens.

Pros: Very nice place with lovely host in the middle of all the best vineyards of Stellenbosch.

Pros: I had an amazing stay and would love to stay here again. Very friendly and helpful staff and the owners are amazing. Wonderful estate. Felt like home, thank you.

Cons: Wish there were softer pillows but thats just my personal preference.

Perfect stay

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Orangeville. The scenery of the place is spacious and unique, with lots of nature. This provides a sense of privacy, even though the property is occupied by multiple tenants. The hosts, Hardy and Steffi are very kind and helpful. They provided us with a delicious breakfast, accompanied with a great conversation and tips about the area. We would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing place whilst still feeling connected to people.
