Tranquil stay with beautiful views

Pros: It is an incredibly cosy house with an stunning view and amazing tranquility. Everything that you need is there, and more. We really enjoyed our stay. There we lots of fun games to play during the cooler nights and we had such good laughs.

Great breakaway for humans and dogs alike.

Pros: Private location close the river, far enough away from other cottages so that my dogs could roam freely. They loved the river.

Cons: I went when it was exceptionally hot and heat was a bit unbearable at night without aircon. The fans helped however not quite enough for those hot summer evenings.

A very memorable weekend

Pros: We loved everything about our stay! Beautiful and well appointed home, stunning location close to the river and great communication and hospitality from the host Di. We also really enjoyed our visit to Monks Distillery. Would highly recommend Underhill Cottage!

Neat and comfortable cottage with amazing views.

Pros: The location on the river is perfect with lovely views of the river and mountains. The cottage itself was very neat and clean. We loved spending time on the stoep just taking in the nature. Will definitely be back.

Cons: The gas fridge/freezer struggles a bit when fully loaded, but we had a lovely stay.

Beautiful escape

Pros: The location was incredibly beautiful, from the snow capped mountain peaks to the river flowing on your doorstep and the fynbos through the kitchen window, you couldn’t ask for more. The beds were comfortable and for being completely off grid, we weren’t left wanting or needing anything more. We also enjoyed a craft gin tasting at Monks Distillery which was a 2km walk along the path.

Cons: Nothing to report.
