Devon Castle Forest Lodge

Pros: The lodge is private and spacious, full of charm and character. My favourite feature was the impressive double shower tower — such a unique touch!

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Pros: It is a beauriful setting with buck wandering across the lawn. The interior is luxurious with comfortable beds and couches. We enjoyed the large indoor fire place with good coffee and champagne

Pros: Location was great - peaceful yet a reasonably short journey to the wine farms we wanted to visit. A handy supermarket nearby, which meant we didn't need to drive all the way into Stellenbosch. Layout of lodge is perfect for a getaway, and the kitchen came kitted out with plenty of utensils, as well as salt/pepper/cooking oil etc.

Enjoyable and relaxing stay in Devon Castle. Would like to come back.

Pros: The house was nicely decorated with an attention to details. The outdoor area opens to a beautiful garden. A swimming pool was a benefit on a hot day.

Perfect accomodation for the winelands and golf courses arround Stellenbosch

Pros: The pool (to be heaten with fuel wood which is available for free!) is extremly nice, the location perfect for the winelands arround Stellenbosch and the Devonvale Golf course.

Cons: Maybe the couch in the living room is a little worn and needs to be replaced in the future, but this is nothing to be really complained...:-)

Overall lovely stay

Pros: Property was secluded , nice ambience and clean. Sparkling wine upon arrival 👌. Furthermore 4 towels iso the normal 2 at other places, was awesome. Room fireplace was a wonderful plus. We did not use outside heated pool - too cold

Cons: Due to cold weather i would have been nice to have a top sheet + blanket. Bedside mats would be nice.

Pros: Beautiful, clean property set in the most tranquil location. Loved the bath and fireplace upstairs. Very comfortable bed.

Cons: Was a bit cold downstairs, would suggest putting a heater there.

Peaceful

Pros: We loved the atmosphere,the scenic views. There is so much peace at this place and it's absolutely beautiful. The hosts were accommodating,they allowed us our privacy. You get such a fresh smell of nature all day and the hot tub was the highlight for my partner who could never get out of it. This was definitely one of the best places we have booked at. We will definitely book again

Cons: There was nothing not to like,it was cold but we had a fire place and a hot tub nothing could be better.

Little Forest Gem

Pros: This place if absolutely magical! Very clean and neat, with a touch of wilderness. Very secluded and private and our place was cleaned every single day, with fresh towels daily a well. Definitely coming back!

Pros: Good location, very friendly and helpful hosts. Unit was very clean and neat. Having Kunjani winery virtually next door is really nice, we ate there almost daily.
