Beautiful surroundings and a unique setting - I would say it has greater potential, but I will then price myself out of

Pros: The location is excellent and the environment is beautiful and relaxing.

Cons: I think a lot of the broken or tired items are probably due to the pressures of the season and high turnover, so I’m hesitant to complain as I’m sure when things calm down it will be sorted. (Broken lamps/fans,etc) All in all, for the price it was excellent value for money!

Rustic comfort in the vineyards

Pros: The vineyard setting is lovely, and the cottage is comfortable (great beds) and well equipped. A special thanks to Stefan (maintenance) for being on call and getting the generator going when the power went down (Eskom fault).

Cons: Unfortunately, there was no electricity for the majority of our stay. While this was out of the owner/manager's control, and they did their best under the circumstances (hiring a generator and then on the final day providing us with a two-plate gas stove, stove-top kettle and emergency lights) this obviously put a bit of a damper on the stay (and sadly meant no hot water for showers). There is an invertor, and apparently plans to add solar, which would be a worthwhile investment considering electricity not always reliable.
