Wildeberg Dam House Cottage

Breathtaking

Pros: I cannot possibly describe how beautiful this place is. Lovely staff, easy to get around in Ubers, and the view is out of this world. Cottage is perfectly equipped as well, a truly perfect stay.

The sat

Pros: We love the location and the decor. We enjoyed staying there. It was a really cozy stay.

Cons: The TV did not work at all when you want to relax at night. When you use the fire place on the outside the smoke came back in through the insides fire place. It made the place smell.

Pros: Everything was perfect! We loved the view and the whole area of the cottage :) the little dam is a real highlight and the atmosphere in the nature is incredible. We really recommend staying at the cottage :)

Stunning cottage in idyllic location

Pros: Beautiful location in amazing property, great wine tasting also a bonus. Cottage itself is very well maintained and comfortable.

Magical breakaway

Pros: The cottage is simple yet elegant; one can see that they really put some thought into the finer details. We went there on a rainy weekend and it was magnificent! Sitting on the deck with the fireplace going and the rain falling on the dam. The views in all directions are spectacular. We can highly recommend this stay.

Cons: The indoor fireplace has been closed off, which was a bit of a downer, as we would've liked to sit inside with the fireplace, while watching the sport, but the one on the deck was just as special. The TV screen is also quite small (not that one would go there to watch TV) but we wanted to watch the F1 and my parter could read the script on the screen due to the small size.

Pros: A beautiful cottage next to a lake and the Franschhoek mountains. We got engaged here and it was just perfect. Thank you!

Perfect

Pros: The dam overlooking the lake, it was so peaceful and Mathys was really a star. Room is spacious, bed is very comfy. We wishes we could of stayed longer.

Beautiful vineyard views

Pros: Recently stayed 5 nights at the Dam House Cottage. From pre arrival to checkout, Stian was a fantastic host. Always reachable, offered great suggestions for local dining and just a pleasure to meet. The cottage is well stocked and very clean. The views from both the front and back are beautiful, even with the recent fires. I am sure after recovery it will be stunning. The location is perfect, just far enough outside of town to feel private but only a few minutes drive to all the activities. Highly recommend and would definitely return someday.

Fantastisch uitzicht over Franschhoek.

Pros: Het is een prachtige locatie met mogelijk het mooiste uitzicht van Franschhoek. Je kan bijna 360 graden kijken naar alle bergen en over de wijnvelden. Het is er rustig, niemand die je stoort en je hebt je eigen privé-meertje. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien, met goede bedden. Goede communicatie met host Stian. Dit was een van onze beste overnachtingen, heel bijzonder.
