The prefect stay for a visit to Franchhoek

Pros: This was such a beautiful property… spotlessly clean and fantastically equipped, it was just a shame we weren’t staying longer. The property is really large with a lovely conservatory where we sat on the last evening to watch the sun go down. Check in with Johan was seemless with good communications from the start. Lovely touches as well with the hosts leaving us bread, milk, butter and a lovely selection of jams which was much appreciated. The property is only a couple of minutes walk from the Main Street and max 10 minutes walk to the tram station if you’re using the wine tram. Overall a fantastic stay… highly recommended

Cons: Nothing…, everything perfect

Pros: Kleinhof offered traditional Franschoek architecture, gardens and swimming pool with all the creature comforts of modern living right in the heart of town. Johan was a wonderful host and very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Lovely bungalow, excellent location, could do with more outside seating and a table.

Pros: The manager of the property was there to get us on arrival, although the explanation about everything was quick as he had other guests coming to stay in another property nearby around the time we arrived, but he was available by phone or texts for queries.

Cons: We did not like the fact that the manager asked us if the gardeners could visit to undertake their work, but I forgot to ask how long they would be and it was a whole morning as the previous guests had not given them access so they had more to do.

Brilliant location, historic thatched property with beautiful garden.

Pros: Killer location for the town, beautiful garden and a lovely heritage house with good security. Swimming pool was great to cool off in the hot afternoons. Large garage made parking easy.

Cons: Pool could be clearer and probably needs a longer filtering time each day when hot.

Pros: What a great house! So big and spacious. Loved all the rooms, beds were perfect. Bathrooms very nice. A perfect house in a perfect location. Would come back anytime.

Fantastic house, we will definitely stay here again!

Pros: We were warmly welcomed by Johan, who also provided us with some basic groceries like bread and butter. The house is just fantastic, with plenty of space, all appliances you could possibly need and a pool. Location is perfect, right in the centre of Franschhoek, but in a quiet street just behind the main street.

Cons: The huge old tree in front of the house is beautiful, but also home to a lot of birds, so when we parked our car on the driveway it ended up full of bird droppings. The upstairs bedroom with victorian bath is very nice, but the bath is not practical, as you can’t stand in it to shower, due to the sloping ceiling.

Pros: Highly recommend this spot in Franschoek! 1 street behind the main road, but extremely quiet and peaceful, Kleinhof has everything you need and is tastefully decorated. 2 lounges, 3 bedroom (plus extra kiddies room), sun lounge, braai and pool, what more do you need! Host is excellent, hope to be back.
