Rest at Chabivin

A good base to explore the surrounds. A lovely place all in all.

Pros: Lovely quite place to stay. Everything was clean and in order. We had an issue with the fridge in the Unit but it was sorted in a timely fashion. We loved the horses and other animals that move around the property.

Pros: All of it. We stayed at 6 places on our roadtrip and this one topped them all!!

It was amazing.

Cons: The shower barely had cold water only boiling hot water and we were there during a heat wave which made it almost impossible to make use of. the host did try fix it bit it was a terrible shower.

Brilliant Base for families who enjoy stellenbosch but want a space away from the bustle.

Pros: The lady was readily available to chat and help out. The space was incredible and the setting was ideal. The pool was great for the whole family. Waking up to horses, a duiker, a little spring buck and such a friendly little pup was so special. You cant beat the location. The home was also private and Blaauwklippen is my fav part of stellenbosch. So picturesque!

Cons: The house was incredibly comfortable, the flow was great and it had everything we needed. The pool, horses and buck were so welcome! We just loved our stay. Some subtle things to improve on would be the damp here and there. The shower has no metal plate where the mixer is. So its an unfinished hole. There is only solar! Guests should be warned not to use items such as irons for too long as they drain the energy. We were left with a wet half load of washing to sort out after the solar stopped working. (I was using an iron to press some clothes for a wedding) any hoo... all the electrics stopped working and we left the accommodation with dripping wet washing and looking a bit bedraggled as my hair iron wouldnt work etc etc ao a few challenges. But other than that... the space was super ideal.

Perfect Family Getaway in the Winelands

Pros: We loved our stay at Chabivin! Just outside Stellenbosch, it’s peaceful and quiet but still close to everything. The corner cottage had everything we needed for a comfy self-catering stay. The kids had a blast swimming, and jumping on the trampolines. With so many great restaurants and things to do nearby, we still didn’t want to leave — it was just too relaxing!

Cons: Honestly, there was nothing we’d change — it was perfect!

Pros: I loved the animals, how lovely it was- not too out of town but far enough that you feel like you’re away a bit! really really loved it. Lovely amenities as well, would go back!!!

Fantastic

Pros: Easy instructions with code to the gate to drive in to the property. The studio was clearly marked and keys could be found inside. The studio itself is really cute, the welcome basket with some chocolate and an information pamphlet was really nice. The bed is super comfortable and you feel like it’s very private. The wood fired hot tub was great for our stay as it got cold at night. The kitchen is very well equipped and you can find everything you might need. We got plenty of wood to use for both the hot tub and the Braai. The dogs are really cute and loves to come say hello. In general the property is beautiful and very serene. Would for sure stay again.

Pros: Loved our 4 night stay here. Real farm-like feel close to town in beautiful surroundings. Stylish and comfortable house and the wine and chocolate on arrival was a winner.

Everything was perfect, I would definitely come back.

Pros: It was secluded, the views were amazing, it had everything we needed and everything was working.
