Lagoon View in Hermanus

great if it had been cleaner.

Pros: Great location, a short drive to the beach, quiet and peaceful (except at night when a peacock roosted on the roof!)

Cons: The fire-pit was full of water and the pool was unfit for use when we arrived. This was put right after we complained. Some of the kitchen ware and the fridge was dirty. The furniture was very tired.

Definitely will be coming back here again. Will also refer to friends and family.

Pros: We liked the fireplace the most. also the 2 bags of wood was a nice surprise. Also the coffee machine with coffee was a big bonus. The large patio and fire pit was nice, but it was too cold to make fire outside. The beds were comfy enough as well as the carpets in the bedrooms. The place was well stocked with enough cutlery and crockery, might want to think of adding a few plastic bowls for snacks or for veggies when peeled and cleaned. I liked the day bed on the patio. Loved the corner bath in the upstairs bathroom. Overall the place was good, just here and there a few snags, as mentioned below.

Cons: The microwave s very stained and way too small for such a big group. Definitely needs to be upgraded. The toilet water in the top bathroom was stained and it seemed dirty due to the water. The water overall also not clear to drink, not sure what the reason is. Could've given us a heads up on this, had to go and buy water. Yes the outside chairs and tables need a varnish and pillows could help for the chairs. The outside bath is very high, didn't see a step to get in the bath though. The shower areas could do with doors rather, the floors can get very messy with these walk-in set up.

Lovely place to just be

Pros: The house is beautiful and warm. Very comfortable furnishings with really lovely linens. Everything you could possibly need to cook with in the large kitchen. We had bad weather so couldn't really use the lagoon or the pool, but I imagine it must be magical. We were also really comfortable in the cold and rain thanks to the huge fireplace (with firewood!) and great WiFi. Also full Dstv bouquet. Even with the cold, I spent most of my time on the porch. The view is breathtaking and changes its look throughout the day. Very easy to access and Andrew was available as we needed (but we didn't really) 10 minute drive to Hermanus with all its activities Upstairs room has a big bath which I thoroughly enjoyed. A gorgeous peacock roams around and we were also visited by some cute rabbits.

Cons: Outside table chairs and arm chairs could be more comfy. Coffee in the kitchen containers was stale Quite a few cobwebs around the house and microwave and dishes not cleaned well. In fact, the microwave could use an upgrade. Pillows are too soft (again just my preference) Would've liked a warmer welcome, but that's just my preference and not a deal-breaker. I'm sure many people prefer no-contact. As a traveller I like to leave details but honestly really enjoyed our stay.

Great stay, would consider returning in the furture.

Pros: Great veiws and good entertaining space. Comfortable beds and generally well-equipped kitchen.

Cons: Some more consideration for children would have been good (i.e. plastic cups and plates etc)

Amazing getaway!

Pros: Great location. Nice decor. Clean and well stocked. Full DSTV premium!

Cons: Not much to dislike.

Beautiful location for a special holiday with family completed by a loverly house with everything we needed.

Pros: The house was the perfect size with two main bedrooms en suite and then a room for the kids and an extra bathroom. The open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge were perfect for family holiday time and the kitchen was very well equipped. It was wonderful to be surrounded by beautiful fynbos with a short walk through the fynbos down to the lagoon.

Cons: It mentioned that there was DSTV but there were only two channels, neither was super sport and we were counting on watching the Springboks.

Ideal spot for a relaxing weekend away

Pros: Lovely house, well equipped and very tranquil surroundings

Wonderful stay

Pros: Fantastic location with view over the lagoon. Perfect as it’s just outside of the busy Hermanus.

Cons: Air cons would have been great as it was very hot in the upstairs room and the toilets use a septic tank which had to be cleaned out twice
