Fabulous family weekend away!

Pros: Spacious and fantastic location. Host very helpful and accommodating!

Cons: Movement upstairs is easily heard in the downstairs rooms.

Wonderful place for a family to stay in Onrus

Pros: Wonderful location, in a quiet culdesac. A quaint and characterful home with good facilities and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lindie was super helpful and responded promptly to all my questions! Lovely braai garden!

Cons: I can't fault this place!

A home away from home when we really needed that.

Pros: Exactly as it looked in the photos, comfortable. quirky and very cosy. Lindie is an excellent hostess and was available when we needed to ask any questions. Such a lovely place to return to, with my daughter and dog, after a hectic house move. Thank you Lindie. You deserve a 10 out of 10 review.

Charming and comfortable

Pros: We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a super cold weekend but there was a lovely gas heater and hot water bottles for everyone. There were even dog blankets for our fur baby! Host is very attentive. House has a lot of charming character and a short walk to the beach. Lovely big garden for the dog. We enjoyed the games found in the cupboard for winter evenings .

Lekker vibe

Pros: The location was great for what we needed and loads of space for the dogs.

Pros: Its exactly what we needed just to get away from home and its so peaceful. Lindie is friendly and the cleaning crew as well. Will most definitely go there again in the near future 😊

Pros: Very comfortable 3 bedroom house with a lovely upstairs loft area, all with en-suite bathrooms (1 being shower, basin only). It has a nice spacious garden and we enjoyed using the firepit in the evening. Overall, it felt very homey.

Pros: The welcome treats from the hosts. Nice, spacious garden for the dogs to play in and to sit and relax in when the weather is good. Lovely upstairs loft with nice views and books. We didn't notice/feel loadshedding because of the inverter.

Cons: Small kitchen. Traffic noise due to the garden backing onto Onrus Main Road.

Cottage is very good value for accommodation offered. Be aware of noise issue, upstairs ventilation.

Pros: The cottage is very well appointed and offers lots of accommodation for the rate charged. The availability of en-suite bathrooms plus a guest loo was very welcome. Very nicely decorated and a great homey feel. Excellent communication from hosts. Very comprehensive information provided on all appliances, procedures etc. Location in Onrus convenient for Hermanus and Hemel and Aarde valley. Good wifi, multiple TVs. Well appointed kitchen with microwave and gas hob. Two fridges. Great braai area and braai. Safe parking. Self check in was easy and flexible in terms of arrival time. Cottage has full security system and a laptop safe. Window over vintage bath upstairs allows stargazing or lying in bath in sunshine. Inverter means load shedding is not an issue. Deposit was refunded promptly

Cons: Upstairs has no opening windows. There are large doors either end, but these could only be fully open or closed. Need opening windows or hooks to allow partial opening. With door upstairs open for ventilation, the traffic noise from nearby road is extreme from early in the morning. No ability to curtain/block light into upstairs bedroom in early morning. Between this and the traffic noise, very difficult to sleep in. Also a lot of noise transmitted between downstairs / upstairs so difficult to be private - this due to wooden flooring without ceiling between the levels and open side to mezzanine level. Downstairs bedroom nearest kitchen door latch needs attention.
