Cape Robin Cottage

Brilliant

Pros: Robin was very helpful with initial questions and the property manager (Rosemary) was incredibly attentive and kind. The house is fantastic. Immaculately clean and well located, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

We had an absolutely lovely and relaxing time.This is definitely our go to place for accomodation.

Pros: We loved the air conditioning in all the rooms,the generosity of space in the rooms and kitchen,the location and the cleanliness of the yard including the lovely gardens.The whole town of Franschoek is within walking distance.

Cons: The television set can be upgraded to add streaming channels like netflix.

Beautifully villa and great host.

Pros: The location is perfect. The villa was beautifully furnished and equipped to a very high standard, spotlessly clean and secure. The garden is lovely and there are plenty of seating areas. We couldn’t have wished for a nicer place. Our host Rosemary was really friendly and kind and instantly available when needed. Perfect!

Cons: I liked everything!

Pros: Cottage had everything we needed and very homely feel. Excellent location and spotlessly clean. Rosemary(housekeeper) was very accommodating with our request to drop bags earlier than check in and since no one was arriving on our day of departure we were able to check out at 12 rather than 10.

Cons: toilet in main bedroom is not enclosed, only has a privacy screen

A great 5 night break at a pace to suite all.

Pros: Cape Robin Cottage is in a central location with easy walking access to the many excellent restaurants and all the supermarkets in Franschhoek. The cottage was a lot bigger than I envisioned with an easy flow open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area.The two double bedrooms are well proportioned with very comfortable king sized + beds. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has a large jacuzzi bath in addition to the double shower.

Cons: To be brutally honest there was nothing not to like about Cape Robin Cottage. If you encountered any issues (we didn’t) you would be confident in the knowledge that Rosemary was only a WhatsApp away to come and resolve it.

Excellent home from home during our holiday

Pros: Location, excellent accomodation everything you need for a short stay. Could have easily stayed longer.

Super location for visiting Franschoek and the wine route.

Pros: Clean, very comfortable - home from home. Close to the shops and restaurants. All accessible by foot.

Far better and larger than we expected

Pros: We called Rosemary when we were around 40 minutes from the house, She could not meet us but her Husband did, the hand over of the keys was ok and quick. The location of the property, quality of furnishings and size of the house were great. we only used the main bedroom , which was huge, the bathroom had two sinks and a fantastic shower. The properties alarms and security system was easy to operate and the garaged was good to get the car off the road. The pool was a bonus but for us the water was too cold so we did not use it. Dealing with Robin and making payments was very easy and He would always respond quickly to my messages/questions.

Cons: We had an issue with the television as the channels would not load, Rosemary (the housekeeper) called round on Christmas Day to try and fix it but could not, due to it being the Christmas period She could not get anyone out to fix it, So no TV for the whole stay, not a huge issue but it would have been nice to have whilst chilling in the evenings

A wonderful stay at a superb property.

Pros: Proximity to restaurants and vineyards. We didn’t need to use the car much as shops and restaurants were all within walking distance. The vineyards could be accessed with a tram tour or a private Tuk tuk tour.

Cons: Nothing. It was all perfect.

What a great stay!

Pros: The contact with Robin was very nice and welcoming. Same goes for the local management. The house exceeded our expectation by far. It has everything you would wish for, everything is clean and tidy. The interior is so tasteful and of excellent quality. Everything is just spot-on. Location is incredible - walking distance to restaurants and shops. Owner and management not only strive for but meet perfection. Many thanks again!
