Villa Adalbert Guesthouse

Pros: The Villa Adalbert didn't dissapoint for one second. I am absolutely happy with my stay here, and impressed with the quality of the services that I received. Amazingly clean, everything is really well organized, comfortable, silent and relaxing. Just a pleasure, and enjoynment. I liked everything from welcoming that I had, until the small details that you find everywhere (room, garden, breakfast). I reccomend this place with all my heart!

Simply amazing!

Pros: Mario did everything to make our stay perfect from start to finish. We were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and a tour of the beautiful, spotless property. The gardens were stunning, with hundreds of different plants and plenty of spots to sit and relax. Our cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated, with a large patio, hammock, and swing chair. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had — fresh eggs from their own chickens, over 20 types of fresh fruit, and everything looked and tasted like it came from a 5-star restaurant. We had an amazing time, wished we could have stayed longer, and we will definitely come back. We highly recommend this place!

A perfect place for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Pros: This was a repeat visit to Villa Adalbert and as always it was another exceptional stay, with Mario and his wonderful team going above and beyond to make it a truly special place to stay. The rooms are all exquisitely decorated and provide all the comforts needed to make it feel like home from home. The breakfasts are not only delicious but beautifully presented using fresh produce, some of which is from the garden and eggs from the resident chickens. We always feel very welcomed by Mario who goes out of his way to provide wonderful hospitality, and we are very lucky to have found such an amazing place for relaxation, comfort and tranquility.

Pros: Breakfast was amazing and very fresh. Great location with a stunning view of the mountain. Absolutely amazing garden and vegetable garden. Mario was very welcoming and super helpful. It is the best guesthouse I have ever stayed in. I highly recommend staying here!

A perfect place for a tranquil and relaxing stay.

Pros: Villa Adalbert is perfect. The attention to detail to make sure that you have a wonderful stay is amazing. Mario and his team provide an excellent, friendly and efficient service and nothing is too much trouble. They have thought of everything to make sure that you have all the home comforts, including a pillow choice! The breakfasts are delicious and beautifully presented with a great selection, freshly prepared by Mario using where possible home grown produce from his vegetable garden and eggs from his chickens. It’s lovely to have a choice of places to enjoy the breakfast, in the gardens, outside our cottage or in the house depending on the weather. Ivy Cottage where we stayed was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and private. The gardens are stunning and there is a lovely area to relax by the swimming pool. A little piece of heaven for a relaxing getaway.

Villa Adalbert is so good, we give 20 out of 10 points!

Pros: Where to start? Every single moment is a treat in this very special house: the warm welcome, the beautiful rooms (which is more like a little house!), the very tasteful decoration all over Villa Adalbert, the little thoughtful things (like a painkiller, sunscreen and even a stain remover if necessary), the extraordinary breakfast, the beautiful gardens, the spotless cleanliness … I could go on and on. This was our 4th visit and it definitely won’t be the last one. We travelled a lot through South Africa, but this is by far one of the best guesthouses you can find. The host Mario is unbeatable! We sure love that place and if we are in South Africa, we sure find our way to Villa Adalbert, because it’s like coming home!

Pros: This is the second time we’ve stayed and once again Mario gave a masterclass of being the perfect host. The rooms and outside spaces to relax and enjoy are delightful and breakfast is perfection. If you need to stay in Somerset West, look no further.

Superb!

Pros: This property far exceeded my expectations, to be honest I don't think I have stayed anywhere better (and this includes 5* hotels). The breakfast is superb - a work of art and delicious. Mario is super kind and caring about his guest's enjoyment at his house.
