Pros: The most welcoming friendly hosts. Exceptionally clean and the decor was beautiful. Gorgeous garden, fire pit. Absolutely stunning stay!

Cons: I wish the shower head was adjustable because it's overhead and tricky if you are not washing your head.

Nothing short of perfect!

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blissful Country Garden Cottage. The cottage and property are absolutely stunning, and the birdlife was fantastic. The cottage is beautifully furinished, and the amenities are top-notch. Vin is a superb host. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming. His kindness, attention to detail, and killer smoothies made our stay beyond perfect. I highly recommend staying here.

Pros: Friendly staff. Nice enclosed garden for the dogs, very accommodating host. Lots of nice xtras - coffee, milk, some fruit, etc

Cons: Sadly the temperature of the water was not high enough to enjoy the grand bath.

A Wonderful Weekend Getaway

Pros: Beautiful, comfortable accommodation in a lovely town – fantastic value for money. Niels and Vin went out of their way to accommodate our allergies and really thought of every detail, from firewood and bath salts to electric blankets. We loved the cozy fireplace, gorgeous gardens, braai area, and adorable dogs. The big bath was great for relaxing. It was the perfect breakaway – peaceful, restful, and surrounded by nature. Super close to town, yet it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, making it the ideal spot to catch your breath and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There’s also plenty to do nearby – Elgin Railway Market, Peregrine Padstal, and Houw Hoek Hotel massages.

Cons: The bath and shower water could have been hotter – especially in the morning.

Grabouw Gem

Pros: Very well equipped and private, centrally located. Good kitchen and tech stuff. Fireplace and abundant firewood was very useful for a winter stay. Terrific value.

Cons: There really is nothing not to like.

I loved the beauty and quiet where only the songs of birds were heard. What a lovely treat!

Pros: The location was excellent and the road to Blissful takes you down tree-lined avenues which are very pretty and quiet. I loved their garden and koi pond and enjoyed time sitting in the sun. Their sweet dogs also made me feel really welcome and I loved playing with them as I was missing my own pet. The staff were attentive to my fire-wood needs and very pleasant to talk to.

Cons: I honestly cannot think of anything more I would have needed. They had taken care of everything to make my visit comfortable.

Pros: Very comfy bed with electric blanket in winter, lovely fire and firewood, spacious bathroom and well equipped kitchen right next to bedroom. All in a beautiful garden in a safe area.

Vin was an exceptional host. Willing to assist us looking for dining and daytrip options.

Pros: The small extras were a real treat. Furthermore, the basic amenities - such as hand towels and drying cloths - were all there. The little oven in the kitchen worked like a charm.
