Mont d'Or Franschhoek

Pros: Great location , just behind high street . Clean comfortable rooms Great breakfast cooked to order . Beautiful pool with lots of sitting areas , some in the shade

Cons: Not really a criticism but if I return would like a room near the pool , had to go into main building to access pool area .

Pros: Great hosts who were very attentive and helped us settle in a give us recommendations. Lovely relaxed atmosphere around the pool and a great location, only a 2min walk from the main road of shops in Franschoek.

Cons: The bed was quite short length ways which is very unusual. It didn't really affect the stay, but might be worth noting for taller visitors.

Lovely place to stay and really great location

Pros: Lovely stay- we had the family room with twin beds in loft area upstairs above the main bedroom so gave us a lot of space for the four of us. Ample breakfast selection. Great location only minutes from a huge range of shops, restaurants and bars.

Pros: Fabulous central location, excellent breakfast, lovely staff, cosy room, great to have a pool , and tea and coffee in room

Delightful peaceful oasis just off Main Street with lovely friendly staff.

Cons: Not really a criticism as we booked at short notice so not much availability so our room was at the front - so had to unlock front door to get into the main hotel. Not a major problem . Room was quite small and not much room to open and leave our cases . Limited hanging space in wardrobe . But the room was beautifully clean the bed was comfortable and linen was pristine and great quality. We would highly recommend the hotel and would love to stay again with a pool facing room at the rear in main party of the hotel!

Pros: Very good position. We got a room facing the street outside the hotel that was a bit disappointing. We should have stayed 2 nights but due to cancelled flights it was only on night and we more or less only slept at the hotel

Pros: Carol and Johanes were excellent hosts, friendly and always happy to help with any query. We had a lovely stay. Walking distance to all the bars, restaurants & shops on the high street. The pool area is a little haven to chill and relax. Breakfast had something for everyone - all the staff are friendly and happy. Will stay here again. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Pros: Beautiful, well kept property that we found as advertised when booking. Helpful and friendly hosts who gave us plenty of tips for our stay. Excellent location and delightful breakfast that met the needs of our family of four.

Perfect little getaway

Pros: The staff were lovely, it was super clean and the location was fantastic. Really can’t complain about any of it and the accommodation was just as advertised.

Cons: As a solo traveller I didn’t expect this many families with small children in a boutique place like this. Obviously, this is no criticism on the property and it’s not advertised as adults only but instead my assumptions were wrong. It was just a shame that using the pool for example was pretty much not possible because of the number if kids in it and the old building carried the voices of crying babies early in the morning.
