A peaceful home from home in Hermanus

Pros: The apartment is well proportioned. Lovely lounge, kitchen and dining area. An extra sitting area in the conservatory. Two good sized bedrooms with plenty of hanging and cupboard space. The bathroom has a large walk in shower. Toiletries are provided. There is everything you would need in the kitchen. Plenty of seating in the lounge with a large tv that has various free streaming channels - Netflix, YouTube etc. Isabella is the perfect host who kept in touch from the moment we booked a year before. Checking in with us whilst we were there. And solving any little problems or queries we had. Whale Rock Estate is a secure community with a lovely pool set in a tranquil walled garden with a clubhouse. There are laundry facilities for a small charge. It’s a short distance from the centre of Hermanus. In the evening we would use Tuk Taxis to get into town for the many wonderful bars and restaurants there.

Cons: We liked everything about the property but as it was extremely hot whilst we were there we would have appreciated a couple of fans.

Nice place

Pros: The receiving host was very friendly. Very nice place, access to walk down to see the sea which was nice. Clean and spacious. The little braai part is nice to sit, braai and eat with the family. Not too far from town, a bit further drive for the swim beach.

Cons: Just a suggestion for a fan in the rooms and complimentary tea with the coffee.

Pros: Apartment was modern, neat and had all the necessary essentials we needed for a weekend stay. Isabella kept us informed before our check-in and was available if needed throughout. It was in close proximity to the beach which resulted in a afternoon walk watching the waves, good for the soul.

We enjoyed our stay

Pros: The property was very neat and had everything in it that we needed for the weekend away. Property is located within walking distance from the sea however you only have a partial sea view from the apartment.

Pros: I enjoyed watching the ocean view on the horizon while braaing with friends. Overall the property has nice modern finishes and its a definite value for money.

Pros: It was a private quiet small gated community that felt safe. Access to the beach and magnificent views were very nice and we even spotted several whales.

Cons: We were not able to locate the hair dryer, but that was later rectified by the host.

Mooie lokatie met alle noodzakelijke faciliteiten.

Pros: Mooie ligging op korte loopafstand van rotskust. Mooie zonsondergang. Beveiligde parkeerplaats. Dicht bij centrum van Hermanus. Alle noodzakelijke faciliteiten aanwezig. Vriendelijke ontvangst.

Cons: We schrokken s nachts wakker van een vreemd geluid. Het bleek dat om 3:00 s nachts de sproeiers aan gaan en tegen de ruiten sproeien. Gelukkig maar 15 minuten. De ventilatie in de douche is gekoppeld aan het licht. Na verlaten van de doucheruimte moet het licht aan blijven om goed te ventileren. Strikte incheck voorwaarden: inchecken ná 20:00 alleen indien vooraf aangegeven. Anders wordt een opslag van 50% van het dagtarief berekend.

Enjoyed our stay

Pros: Apartment was very elegant, clean and comfortable ,the unit has a gasbraai, big screen TV all things needed for our stay,the host Isabella especially was very accommodating and ensured our stay was pleasant. Will definitely be returning

Cons: Can't say there was anything we did not like but maybe just paste directions on how to use gas braai🤭,but we managed to get it on🤭
