Lovely cottage in peaceful location.

Pros: Lovely cottage, well equipped and stylishly decorated with nice garden in a peaceful location. Carol and Alan are great hosts, very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Cons: Nothing.

Amazing place to stay with exceptional hosts and quality of accommodation!

Pros: Amazing cottage with fantastic hosts. Everything was to an exceptional standard. It was wonderful to sit out on the decking and also for a dip in the pool. The beach was a 5 minute walk away. There are 2 good restaurants within walking distance and the mall only a couple of minutes drive away. Likewise Hermanus a very short drive. The platter and bubbly was lovely on arrival. Would definitely recommend staying here and we will be returning. Many thanks to you both and we loved the dogs!

Perfect oasis of calm

Pros: Perfect for a relaxing break. Stylish decor, beautiful garden & a warm welcome from hosts Carol & Alan. We very much appreciated the platter & wine on arrival too! Quiet position close to the coastal path to Onrus. We've already planned our return trip!

Cons: Nothing!

We had 4 very relaxing days at Saffron Cottage and it was most enjoyable

Pros: Breakfast was not provided. We liked the location as it was a short walk to the beach. Our hosts were very friendly. The accommodation was well appointed.

Cons: No complaints whatsoever.

Pros: A beautifully decorated space that wraps you in comfort and calm. The welcome platter was a 5-star spoil. I only wish that I could've spent more time enjoying the cottage and less time working. Although it is a garden cottage with a shared garden, privacy wasn't an issue. Good security.

Cons: There is additional paperwork to fill out for the rental period and also a breakage deposit, which is not the norm, but having stayed there I can understand why the owners have opted to put these in place.

This cottage provides excellent base to explore Hermanus and the surrounding area.

Pros: The property is very nicely furnished and the owners who live on site are the best hosts you could wish to meet. Easy access to the beach, shops and the restaurants are only a 10 min drive. It was great to be met by owners who provided a starter pack of milk, eggs etc. They also provided some wine, cheese and biscuits to nibble while we unpacked. We will return next year!

Cons: Nothing!

Peacefull

Pros: The owner gave us a very warm welcome on arrival and showed genuine interest in us during the stay. The accommodation was spotless, safe and actually had everything you needed (including facial care). The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water strength and there was Netflix available on the television. There was a bbq facility and a nice view at the garden.

Cons: I cannot think of anything.

Das schönste Refugium an Südafrikas Küste

Pros: Welch eine wundervolle Zeit uns Carol und Alan bereitet haben! Dies ist eine Unterkunft, in der wirklich keine Wünsche offen bleiben - vom unfassbar herzlichen Empfang über das wunderschöne Einrichtungsdesign bis hin zur gepflegten Gartenoase, dem perfekten Ort, um nach Erkundung der Gegend zu entspannen. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über die Gartenliegen (nicht selbstverständlich in Südafrika). Carol und Alan sind so liebe Menschen, ihr Anwesen spiegelt dies in allen Facetten wider. Unser nächster Besuch ist bereits in Planung.

Cons: Definitiv nichts!

Pros: Wir haben uns bei Carol&Alan so wohl gefühlt wie in keinem anderen Guesthouse in SA zuvor. Diese lieben Menschen lieben es Gastgeber zu sein und man kommt als Gast und geht als Freund! 1000% Empfehlung-wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder 🫶

Pros: Alles: het verblijf, de rust, de prachtige tuin, de mensen: Carol en Alan, met de ouders en 2 honden.

Cons: Wij kunnen eigenlijk niets verzinnen wat beter kan. Ales was perfect.
