Sorbonne 1 - No loadshedding

Great New year.

Pros: The place ticked our boxes close to town and safe at night.

Cons: No outside area in the sun ,bar the pool ,so no privacy.

Pros: Everthing was smooth and fine. Close to town center. Has a private car park.

Cons: Nothing. All described in descriptions.

Fabulous apartment

Pros: It was a great apartment, loads of space, well laid out, very comfortable and lovely decorated. The location was excellent, just 3 mins walk to main street with a fab bakery and cafe at the bottom of the hill called Mother Dough...a gem find. Right across the main road was a large supermarket for groceries.

Cons: We arrived later than we hoped so it was dark. It would be helpful in the directions to maybe have a number displayed or just include that the small gate right next to the parking space was the apartment. In the dark, as there were trees and shrubs, we thought the place was derelict. We asked a neighbour and they said it was a regular thing people unable to find that particular apartment.

Pros: Excellent quiet location, 5-10 min walk to shops/ restaurants etc. Very clean and well equipped.

We loved our stay and would recommend this property. Clean, comfortable and great location.

Pros: Excellent location, lovely little patio, beautifully clean. Really nice to have filtered water, a Nespresso machine and Africology toiletries.

Cons: The bed pillows could do with an upgrade.

Pros: I had a fantastic stay at Sorbonne guesthouse in Franschhoek. The 2-bedroom ground floor unit was cozy, beautifully maintained, and immediately felt like a home away from home. The space was clean, comfortable, and is well-equipped for a short or long stay. The surroundings were truly breathtaking nestled between the mountains and the winelands, the views created a peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and so easy to explore the shops and restaurants with a short walk away. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend Sorbonne to anyone looking for a scenic and memorable stay in the heart of the winelands.

Pros: The apartment has everything you need. They even leave a small carton of milk, and wine, which is a nice surprise. The beds are comfy. The unit was clean.

Cons: Netflix and DSTV logins would be nice to have. Otherwise nothing else to complain about.

Pros: Place was in a quiet and secure complex. Had everything we need. In walking distance of all shops and restaurants. Host was responsive to messages and gave all needed information before asking.

Cons: That we didn't book a longer stay.... Would have been nice to have a few more days 😁

Excellent and perfect

Pros: It was an excellent stay. - Quiet location - Room with parkIng - Winery within walking distance - Almost perfectly equipped with cookware - Two spacious bedrooms - Two clean bathrooms

Cons: It was stated that there was a laundry machine, but in fact there was not.

Excellent locality. Suited our needs.

Pros: Location was excellent. Near town and a wine train stop but we ended up walking to 2 local vineyards instead. Would recommend Dieu Donne. Beds were comfortable. Couldn't find the place initially but the owners were easy to contact.

Cons: Woken by a dog barking early both mornings. Not much outside area and what there was, was in the shade. Cost more than all the other apartments we stayed in during our 3 week South Africa trip, but I think that was the area rather than the hosts.
