The most perfect property for a remote getaway, peaceful and picturesque

Pros: Well equipped little cottage on the top of the hill with spectacular views of the Hemel en Arde valley and mountains

Secluded getaway with stunning views and a wonderful host

Pros: A fantastic and secluded spot with beautiful views, close to wineries. The host was wonderful and went above and beyond – when we got stuck in the mud after heavy rain, they quickly sent Freddy with a tractor to help us out. The farm roads are well kept, and you don’t need a 4x4. The kitchen was well equipped. Firewood was provided (a bit wet, but it dried out well for both the indoor fireplace and braai), perfect for the very cold weekend when we visited. Beds were warm, the couches were huge and very cozy, and the stoep was a perfect place to relax. Lovely walking paths, pet-friendly, with thoughtful extras like walking sticks, a leash, and even some games. Beautiful rows of apple trees - can imagine it would look even more gorgeous when the trees blossom! Great setup for two couples or for families.

Cons: Could use a few extra touches like salt, pepper, and olive oil. The outdoor shower and two baths are lovely, but worth noting you might not use shower for cold winter visits.

Pros: Wunderschön gelegen mit schöner Aussicht auf die Berge und Apfelplantagen. Sehr gut ausgestattetes Cottage mit schönem Garten. Nachts sehr ruhig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Cons: Die 2 Bäder sind mit Badewannen ausgestattet. Gefehlt hat uns lediglich eine Handbrause. Eine Aussendusche ist zwar vorhanden, war uns in der Nacht zu kalt.

Wunderschön gelegenes Cottage

Pros: Das Cottage liegt traumhaft im Grünen. Die Ausstattung ist eher einfach, aber es ist alles da, was man braucht. Selbst für kühles Wetter war dank Kamin und Brennholz vorgesorgt. Tipp: Wenn man im Office vom Hermanus Winehopper nachfragt, wird man am Farmtor abgeholt. Zum benachbarten Weingut Creation kann man über die Farmwege laufen.

Cons: Es gibt zwei Badewannen in den Bädern, aber nur eine Außendusche. Bei schönem Wetter ist das kein Problem, aber wir hatten kühles windiges Wetter...
